Obituary for Norma Stobbe

Norma Stevenson Stobbe, age 89, passed away May 21, 2020. Norma was born on September 22, 1930 in Richmond, Kentucky, to Robert and Lelia Stevenson. Norma was know for quick wit and the modern day cell phone dear Abby. She loved reading, poetry, conservative politics and showed her love through cooking and baking. She graduated from Cleary Business School and was a legal secretary for many years. Norma was one of the founding members of the Plymouth Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her children Gary Stobbe and Gail (Stephen) Powell; grandchildren: Gary Lee II, Bryan (Dawn) Powell and Kelly Powell and great grandchildren: Alec, Davis and Payton Powell She is also survived by her sister Marilyn (Harold) Hester and many nieces and nephews. Norma is preceded in death by her husband Walter; brothers: Ray, Bill, Rob, Al and Dwight Stevenson and sisters Dollie Gotro and Karen Dingeldey. A private service will be held for the family at Phillips Funeral Home. Norma will be laid to rest next to her husband at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.
