Obituary for Kathleen Ann Laing

Kathy Laing was born July 18, 1964 to Carol and Robert McGraw. She passed away on November 6, 2020.
Kathy is survived by John Laing, her doting husband of 32 years.
Also surviving are her mother, Carol: two daughters, Caitlin Laing and her partner Kenny Nereim, and Megan and her husband Zach DeLashmit: grandson, Benjamin Nereim: and brother Jim McGraw.
Kathy was strong, brave, and met every obstacle with grace.
As a wife, she was always willing to blaze the path. When her husband was leading, she was right behind him, ready to catch him if he stumbled. When life got hard, John and Kathy were always holding each other up.
As a mother, she gracefully handled two teenage girls, who grew up to be just as strong as she was. Kathy always knew what to say when her daughters were struggling with their own lives.
Kathy was truly selfless, she always put her husband and daughters before herself. She would always lend an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or a voice of wisdom. Kathy was a beautiful designer. Whether it was for her job, her home, or her garden, everything she touched was beautiful.
Very rarely, could you catch Kathy without a smile on her face. Her laugh was contagious, and she always found the fun in things.
There will never be an obituary long enough, to truly capture the beauty and love that was Kathy, but the people who knew her will always remember.
