Cremation Options
Direct Cremation Without Services
Direct Cremation is a simple and low-cost cremation option, in which the deceased’s body is cremated right away. It may take place only after obtaining a signed death certificate from the attending physician along with a signed authorization from the next of kin, or authorized agent of the deceased. An authorization is also required by the medical examiner. After the cremation, the ashes are picked up and there is no visitation, viewing, or any other end-of-life ceremonies.
Cremation After Funeral Service and Visitation
Funeral services are a ceremony that serves to celebrate, honor, and remember the life of the deceased. For this service, the deceased will be cremated AFTER the funeral service. Funeral services can take place at a funeral home, or church. This option includes cremation taking place PRIOR to the service. The ashes will be placed in the container of your choice.
