Obituary for Gerald W. Rewitz

Gerald (Jerry) William Rewitz of South Lyon, MI passed away on November 16, 2020. He was born on March 21, 1949 in San Jose, CA to the late William Robert Rewitz of Irma, Alberta Canada and Anna Rose Balistreri Rewitz Goodman of Lockhaven, PA.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 47 years Denise (Bauer) Rewitz; daughter Jennifer King (Richard); son Jeremy Brian; grandchildren Ella and Collin King. Jerry is also survived by his sister Glenna Nutt; his brother David (Velma) Rewitz; his sister Barbara (Lester) Pollock. He is preceded in death by his brother Buryl Raymond Rewitz. " Uncle Jerry" is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

There wasn't any area that didn't spark an interest for Jerry. From using his vast knowledge in computer technology to repair slot machines at the casino where he was working to being an accomplished origami artist to an avid researcher of family genealogy, Jerry was the "go to guy" for answers to tough problems. Without hesitation he was always willing to help out others.

Jerry proudly served in the United States Marine Corps which helped define the outstanding individual he is remembered as by his family and friends.

Memorial service to be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI when Covid 19 restrictions are lifted.

The family has asked that all donations in his honor be made to the Marine Corps League Foundation
