Name: Edward Martin Baier Dates: Birth date: July 14, 1921 Death date: March 05, 2010 Obituary: Edward M. Baier, 88, of Algonac, formerly of South Lyon, passed away, March 5, 2010. He was born on July 14, 1921 in Detroit, son of the late William and Margaret (Lynch) Baier.
Ed was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and a retired employee from Ford Motor Co. During his 30 years in South Lyon, Ed was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He is survived by: his sisters, Catherine (John) McDerment and Marge Baier. His is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela in 1991 and his brother Donald Baier in 2009.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 8th, from 3:00pm-8:00pm with prayers of the Holy Rosary at 7:00pm at PHILLIPS FUNERAL HOME, 122 W. Lake St., South Lyon. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 9th, at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 830 S. Lafayette, South Lyon.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
