Name: Marshall William Lawson Dates: Birth date: June 03, 1931 Death date: January 27, 2010 Obituary: Marshall W. Lawson, of South Lyon, “crossed over” on January 27, 2010, at the age of 78. Marshall was born in Detroit, MI on June 3rd, 1931. Marshall graduated from Northwestern High School in Detroit, and joined the Army upon graduation. After military service, Marshall was an Electrician and member with I.B.E.W. local 58, for over 55 years. Over the years, Marshall volunteered to serve in the Boy Scouts, Big Brothers, as an aide to the Special Education Program at Loon Lake School in Walled Lake, Bloomfield Hills Scamp Summer Day Camp, worked the Shrine Circus, and was active at the Milford Assembly of God. His parents were Noel Lawson and Ruth (McPherson), but Marshall’s Great Aunt Agnes Buesing, raised him. Marshall will be loved and missed by his son Charles Lawson, of South Lyon and Marshall’s brothers: Henry Steffen, James Steffen and family’s; and extended McPherson family. In addition, his special family, Richard and Linda Stevens; Amy, Scott and Daphne Rasegan: Melanie, Casey, Avery, Gracie, and Josie Hayes, will treasure their memories of Marshall. A Memorial Service will be held at the South Lyon Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center, at 700 Reynold Sweet Parkway, South Lyon, MI 48178 on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 1:30 P.M.
