Obituary for Robert Krettlin

Robert Krettlin, age 76, passed away January 23, 2018. He was born February 12, 1941, in Detroit, son of the late Frank and Ruth Krettlin. Bob was known for his generous, kind, and sensitive nature and will always be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather who was hardworking and an excellent storyteller. He is survived by his loving wife, Fern; his children: Tracy (Nancy)Krettlin, Donna (Christian) Hartley, Jay (Kelly) Krettlin, Becky (Steve) Williams, Brad (Nikki) Capps, and Darren (Lisa) Capps. He is also survived by his grandchildren and his siblings: Fran Jokinen, Bill (Maria) Maisel and Joanne Christenson. Bob was preceded in death by his brother, John and his sister, Dolly. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26 from 3:00PM-8:00PM with a funeral service being held on Saturday, January 27 at 11:00AM at PHILLIPS FUNERAL HOME, 122 W. Lake St., South Lyon. He will be laid to rest in South Lyon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
