Dropiewski, age 55, of South Lyon, passed away February 5, 2012. He was born on September 30, 1956, in Detroit, son of Clyde and Jo Ann Dropiewski. He was a dedicated and loving husband, son and brother. John was an inspiration to many. Even though John was physically challenged, he enjoyed camping, traveling with his wife and a full-time career. He will always be remembered as simply- a great man. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Deborah; his mother, Jo Ann Dropiewski and his brother Bruce (Karen) Dropiewski. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Amy, Angela, Justin, Ryan and his best friend, his Boston Terrier, Max. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister Claudia. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 10, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 830 S. She was born on December 1, 1925 in Fraserburgh, Scotland, daughter of the late George and Mary Fraser. On January 19, 1949, Mary was united in marriage to James Stephen. They recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. She was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church of South Lyon. She is survived by her beloved husband, James, her son James (Adrienne), Christine (Arthur) Schneider and Cora (Mark) Houghan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jamie (Sasha) Stephen, Adrienne (Kyle) Jones, Stephen, Tracie and Lauren Houghan and Rita Schneider. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>She was preceded in death by one brother. <p><span><strong>Lawrence J. Haas</strong>, age 93, passed away, January 26, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was a proud WWII veteran; serving with the Army Air Corp. Lawrence was a Wing Commander and flew paratroopers into combat on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>On August 2, 1942 while on leave from the Army Air Corp, Lawrence married Julia (Andreica) Haas. On August 2, they would have celebrated their 70th anniversary. He will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors. He is survived by his beloved wife Julia, his children, Daniel (Cindy), Carolyn Kay Haas, Michael (Debbie), and Thomas (Jackie). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, his brothers, Ralph, James <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>and Fredrick Haas and his sister Marilyn DeHaan. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Cupples and Edith Kenyon. He is survived by his beloved wife Margaret; his loving children: Chuck Lanning, Vicki (George) Daubresse, Bob Lanning, Kay (Mike) Cichon, Peggy (Marvin) Van Gorden, George Williams, Judy (Ken) Sweat, Mike (Dawn) Williams, Chris (JoAnn) Williams, Becky (John) Hall and Shawn (Suzette) Williams, He is also survived by his only surviving sibling, his sister, Ginny Lach and many loving <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Don and his four sisters: Hazel, Loretta, Dorothy and Pauline.
